Persona 5’s Joker Steals into D&D 5th Edition!

“I’ll reveal your true form!”

Hope you’re not harboring any distorted desires, Buildies! Because if you’re contributing to society’s downfall, Joker and the Phantom Thieves will be leaving you a calling card in D&D 5th Edition! I loved Persona 5 to shreds on the PS4, as it’s one of the most mechanically satisfying and stylistically aesthetic RPGs of our generation. I highly recommend you play it, especially if you’re planning on picking him up in Smash Bros. Ultimate… or in Dungeons & Dragons!

I’ll do my best to keep spoilers for the 2nd half of the game away from this build, as we’ll be examining how best to build Joker for your gaming table. Obviously, D&D isn’t set up with Personas in mind, but we’ll be stretching and re-flavoring as much as possible to keep Joker’s feel and vibe. Hopefully you’ll find room in your party for a gentleman thief with his kind of skills. Let’s plug in those keywords and transition to the cognitive realm to take a look at what makes Joker tick!

If you haven’t played Breath of the Wild, I highly encourage you to go and have an amazing open-world experience (Nintendo please sponsor UwU). Obviously, spoiler warning for the game, although we will also be referring to some of the other Zelda titles by necessity as well. That said, let’s look at how the Rip Van Winkle of video games (will anyone get that reference? I don’t know if they teach kids classic literature any more) plays out at your D&D game!

Leon Kennedy to the Rescue in D&D 5th Edition!

“Hope you got friends on the other side, ’cause no one’s gonna miss you here.”

Happy New Year Buildies! 2019 and we’re all gonna make it. The snow is still rollin’, and the weather is still icy. That’s great, because the cold makes it hard for the undead to move quickly. Didn’t you hear? Building Character HQ has a zombie problem, a regular infestation. The undead are crawling, shambling, and gnawing at the door…

But I’m feelin’ pretty good. Why? Because Special Agent Leon S. Kennedy is on his way! Spoilers for the core Resident Evil games (and a few of the CGI movies). Let’s take a look at the President’s right hand man!
